Background

Many currently approved treatments help alleviate the symptoms of Alzheimer’s, but do not stop the disease from progressing.

Recent evidence suggests that tau tangles are the main driver of Alzheimer’s. Tau is a protein inside the central nervous system. By reducing the build-up of ‘tau tangles,’ researchers believe that the investigational drug could help slow down the disease progression  and enhance quality of life for people with Alzheimer’s. The results of the study will help determine whether the investigational drug can progress to the next stage of clinical development.

This study seeks men and women, who have early signs of Alzheimer’s such as MCI or memory loss, and have a family member or friend who is willing to be a study partner. Participants may see an improvement in memory, and a decrease in Alzheimer’s symptoms. Participants will need to attend 6 study visits as well as 4 MRI and 2 or 3 PET scans over about 12 months and may be compensated up to $910.

Benefits of Participation

  • Participants may see an improvement in their memory and a decrease in Alzheimer’s symptoms; however, improvement in condition cannot be guaranteed.
  • Participants will be helping advance medical research.

Your Rights

  • If you decide to participate in the study and later feel that you no longer wish to be part of it, you may withdraw at any time.
  • Your records relating to this study and any other information received will be kept strictly confidential, except as required by the law.
  • Qualified health professionals will monitor your health as it relates to the study.

Who Can Participate?
