Background

This trial is investigating whether KeenMind® (which contains a specific extract of the Ayurvedic herb Bacopa monnieri known for its memory enhancing qualities) may help with the symptoms of inattention and hyperactivity in boys aged between 6 and 14 years.

Over 16 weeks, study participant children will be given KeenMind® or a placebo and sit tests measuring their IQ, memory, attention, reaction time, inhibition and behaviour.

Following completion of the trial, parents will be reimbursed $50 and receive a three month supply of KeenMind®, with trial participant children each receiving a $50 book voucher.

Your Rights

Who Can Participate?

  • Boys aged between 6 and 14 years who exhibit symptoms of inattention and hyperactivity who are:
  • Able to visit the research site at Swinburne University for study appointments
  • Meet study inclusion and exclusion criteria
