Texas Study Seeks Healthy Men

Background

Human papillomavirus or HPV is a very common sexually transmitted disease. Research shows that oral infection of this virus can pose a risk in developing head and neck cancer which accounts for 4% of all cancers in the United States.

An HPV vaccine is currently being tested to find out if it can lower the chance of getting mouth infection caused by some types of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) compared to placebo (a look alike with no active ingredients). 

This study seeks healthy men. Participants are required to attend 10 study visits at the research site over a 3 and a half-year period and will be compensated up to $1,200 for participating in this study.

Who Can Participate?

  • Healthy men more than 18 years of age
  • Able to attend study visits at the research site 
  • Is sexually Active
