Background
Major Depressive Disorder is a leading cause of disability in the United States. While there are options available, finding a treatment that works best for an individual can be a long and costly process. Many also find that their current treatment does not provide them adequate relief from their depression symptoms.
This study explores if a new investigational medication, Rapastinel, can treat symptoms of a major depressive episode while a participant is currently on a stable dose of another antidepressant therapy.
This study seeks men and women who currently suffer from MDD and are currently taking only one antidepressant. Participants are required to attend 11-12 study visits at the research site over approximately a 6 week period and will be reimbursed $75 per completed visit for travel and related expenses.
