Background
When triggers related to a health condition can be identified and reduced, patients can often experience an improvement in the frequency and severity of medical symptoms. However, identifying these factors remains a challenge when treatment providers find less and less time to spend talking with patients and taking down medical history.
The inclusion of mobile health tools has the potential to enhance both clinical care and research techniques and may even improve a patient’s commitment to following treatment guidelines for their chronic medical condition. This research study is designed to test the strengths and weaknesses of an iOS (for iPhone only) health app, improve future versions, and better understand how physicians and patients are likely to use this app for future clinical use.
This study seeks men and women, age 18 years or older, who currently suffer from any chronic or recurring health condition. Participants are required to complete 2 study surveys over the phone or by in-person visit at the research site before and after the 6 month period. The study involves the use of the iOS health app for 6 months. Participants will be compensated after completion of the first survey.
