About the Study

Many parents of autistic children wonder how their child experiences and learns language. While every child is different, researchers still have much to learn about how language develops in early childhood, especially for children on the autism spectrum.

This study is exploring how young children with autism respond to different cues during word learning. Your participation could help researchers uncover new insights and make a meaningful impact on future support and interventions. Join researchers and be part of this important work.

Why Participate?

  • Families receive up to $200 for completing all study components. Families also receive a report on their child’s social, language, and cognitive development. Some families are particularly interested in contributing to autism research.
  • Participants will be contributing valuable information that may benefit children with autism in the future.
  • Participants will be helping to advance clinical research.

Your Rights

  • You will receive a detailed outline of all aspects of the study, including study procedures, risks, and benefits, and you will be given the chance to ask study staff questions before you decide whether to participate.
