About the Study

With the balancing act our bodies face on a daily basis, it is important that our medical professionals are well informed when it comes to the effects different treatments can have on our bodies.

Researchers at Emory University are currently looking at the effects different types of hormonal contraceptives have on women’s bodies. This is in hopes of better understanding how different hormonal contraceptives given to women with unique vaginal microenvironments could potentially impact their ability to fight off infections. This study works to uncover new information about these widely used hormonal contraceptive methods, which places more power into the hands of women.

Are you interested in helping other women and equipping medical professionals with the tools they need to keep all of us healthy? Consider joining this study now!

Why Participate?

  • Participants will receive hormonal contraceptives at no cost to themselves.
  • Participants will help researchers better understand how hormonal contraceptives can affect the body.
  • Participants may help fellow women be better informed when deciding which contraceptive method is best for them.
  • Participants will be helping to advance women’s health research.

Your Rights

  • If you decide to participate in the study and later feel that you no longer wish to be part of it, you can withdraw at any time.
