Background
Low back pain (LBP) affects about 1 in 10 Australians, and is often severe enough to restrict movement or impact daily life. Of those that have experienced an episode of LBP, many will experience a recurrence of symptoms and persistent pain.
The University of Queensland (UQ) is conducting a study to determine how low back pain impacts the brain’s ability to control muscles. This knowledge will be used when new treatments are developed for low back pain.
This study seeks participants who have experienced low back pain for at least 8 weeks, which has negatively affected their daily lives. Participants are required to attend 2 study visits and will be reimbursed for their participation in the study.
