Background

Many Americans suffer from chronic low back pain. This pain sometimes occurs as a result of normal wear and tear of discs in the spine, often related to aging.

This research study is being conducted to examine the effectiveness of a new investigational medication in reducing chronic low back pain. The medication is made from special stem cells.

This research study seeks men and women aged 18+ who have experienced chronic low back pain for last 6 months or more and have not been able to successfully treat symptoms. Participants are required to attend 9 study visits at the research site over a 36 month period, with the majority of the visits occurring in the first 12 months.

Who Can Participate?

  • Men and women who are 18+ years of age
  • Who have experienced chronic back pain for the past 6 months or more and have not successfully treated symptoms
  • Not on worker’s compensation
  • If female, not pregnant or nursing, or planning to become pregnant
  • Willing to attend 9 study visits at the research site over a 36 month period, with the majority of the visits occurring in the first 12 months
