Background
Nutrition in early life is important in the growth and development of a baby.
At SAHMRI, we’re trying to find out how to help babies get the best nutrition possible.
We have studies to understand how families feed their babies during their first few years of life, what challenges there are to feeding a baby, and the role of good nutrition in growth and development.
Our studies are looking for families with a baby that is 7 weeks old or less.
Why Participate?
- You will be helping to advance research on making sure babies get the best nutrition.
- You can contribute valuable information that may help mothers in the future.
- You may help improve the experiences of future mothers feeding their babies.
- You may help improve the feeding support services at South Australian hospitals and postnatal care providers.
- You will be helping to advance research on infant feeding.

- If you decide to participate in the study and later feel that you no longer wish to be part of it, you may withdraw at any time.
- The information you provide for this study will be kept strictly confidential, except as required by the law.
Who Can Participate?
- Families of newborn babies:
- Aged less than 7 weeks old
- Singleton born (1 baby only)
