Background
Endometriosis is a chronic inflammatory disease that affects 5 –10% of reproductive aged women. Common symptoms include dysmenorrhea, non-menstrual pelvic pain and painful sexual intercourse.
All currently available medical therapies to treat endometriosis prevent or contradict pregnancy, thus not providing a good option for those women looking to conceive. Hence, researchers at the University of California San Diego are exploring a potential new treatment to control symptoms and inflammation associated with endometriosis without preventing fertility.
This study seeks women who currently suffer from endometriosis. Participants are required to attend approximately 13 study visits at the research site over a 6-month period and will be compensated up to $600 for participating in this study.
