About the Study
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a highly prevalent disease worldwide. Despite a number of therapies currently being available, patients with COPD still experience troubling symptoms, have exacerbations, have suboptimal lung function and it impacts their quality of life. Available standard-of-care therapy shows insufficient treatment effect on symptoms, lung function, flare-ups, and long-term progress.
These research studies aim to investigate the effects of a potential medication for COPD. They aim to look into whether this medication may lessen flare-ups and improve the quality of life of adults with this condition. If successful, the findings from these research studies will help in the development of future treatments for patients with COPD.

Who Can Participate?
- Men and women aged 40-85 who are diagnosed with COPD
- Must have experienced COPD exacerbations or flare-ups in the past 24 months, which required either oral steroids/antibiotics treatment or resulted in hospitalization
- Must currently take at least one inhaled medicine to treat their COPD in addition to Ventolin
- Must be a current or former smoker
