Background
Many Americans suffer from constipation and abdominal pain or discomfort. This is sometimes due to Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).
This research study is investigating whether the investigational study drug (in the form of a tablet) can make bowel movements easier and more regular for people that have constipation.
Men and women who suffer from constipation are invited to participate. Participants are required to attend 6 study visits at the research center and take the study tablet once daily over approximately 4 months. Participants will be paid up to $300 for attending site visits.

Who Can Participate?
- Men and women who suffer from constipation.
- If female, not pregnant or nursing.
- Willing to use effective contraception for the duration of the study.
- Willing to complete a daily e-diary for the duration of study.
- Willing to attend 6 study visits at the research center and take the study tablet once daily over a 4 month period.
